1990

Daffodil started its journey as a general computer training center.

1997

Achieved the affiliation of NCC Education UK to educate the young generation with International standard education.

1998

With the gradual success of general IT training and success of NCC Education Daffodil renamed its Training Wing as Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT).

1999

Achieved the first authorization in Bangladesh for conducting BSc. (Hons) in Computing & Information Systems under London Guildhall University (Now London Metropolitan University).

Started its first wing named CCPT (Center for Certified Professional Training) for computer professionals.

Established a sophisticated Cyber Café.

2000

Established Online Testing Center in affiliation with VUE (Virtual University Enterprises), Australia.

Achieved the affiliation of National University for conducting BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and for BBA Course.

Stated its operation in Khulna, Chittagong and Banani Branch.

2001

Achieved the membership of CompTIA, USA.

Achieved the First “Preferred Partnership” of NCC Education in Bangladesh.

Started its operation in Narayanganj, Comilla and Feni.

Established Career Development Program for Unemployed but Educated People.

2003

Achieved the “Best Partner Award” of NCC Education UK among 350 Centers in 45 Countries.

2004

Three of the DIIT Faculty & Management Employee (Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain & Mr Khaled Sohel) got scholarship from DGF, KTC (Scholarship Awarded by Korean Government).

2005

DIIT achieved the Academic Excellence Award among 350 Centers in 45 Countries.

DIIT attended the International Education Fair in Nepal.

10 of the DIIT Students got first class.

2006

DIIT started CAT/ACCA Programs in affiliation with ACCA UK.

DIIT Students Alumni Association opened in UK.

DIIT Executive Director as a first ever member attended the Ninth International Conference on Quality Engineering Technology (CONQUEST) from Bangladesh.

2007

DIIT achieved the “Academic Excellence Award” by NCC Education, UK among the 350 Centers in 45 Countries.

Honorable Executive Director attended International Conference on Quality Engineering in Software Technology (CONQUEST) in Germany as the Session Chair & Program Committee member.

2008

DIIT’s Executive Director attended International Conference on Quality Engineering in Software Technology (CONQUEST) in Germany as the Session Chair & Program Committee Member.

DIIT’s Executive Director attended ISTQB meeting in Delhi.

2009

The Executive Director attended International Conference on Quality Engineering in Software Technology (CONQUEST) in Poland. Got affiliation of University of Greenwich
2010

IT Faculty & Ex-Student Mr. Shamsuddin Ahammad published two Books from Packt Publishers, UK on iReport and GWT

2011

Got affiliation of Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) for conducting Diploma in Engineering Programs

2012

Got affiliation of University & Industry Alliance, University of Dhaka for conducting Professional Diploma Courses

2013

Signed MoU with BBP, Japan and started Daffodil Japan IT (DJIT) for recruiting IT Professionalin International Market

2014

DIA is introduced as separate entity for continuing its journey in international degree pathway

2015

Signed the MoU with Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK for conducting British Bachelors and Masters Program

Collaborative Partners

As part of this collaboration, DIA, in partnership is closely working with NCC Education, UK and Pearson Edexcel for diploma and higher diploma programs and for completing the top-up programs with University of Greenwich and Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK respectively. Additionally, we are in the process of opening direct Honours program of Cardiff Metropolitan University and more new agreements with other foreign universities.

Daffodil International Academy (DIA) is a new pathway emerged from the oldest private institution, Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) which started its initial journey back in 1997 and has now become the largest renowned IT Institute in Bangladesh. This is to inform all the IFY Final examinees of June’16 session that, the final examination will be started from 13th June’16. Students must clear their all due payment and collect admit card from Accounts Department. Admit card will be available from 8th June’16.

Examinees should guard their admit card carefully. Without it student will not be allowed in the examinations.

Students must be present at the examination room at least Fifteen (15) minutes before the commencement time of the examination.

Delegates from Cardiff Met University Visits DIA

On June 14, 2016 a 6 members high powered delegates from Cardiff Metropolitan University
(UK) lead by Ms. Beverley Smith, Deputy Dean, Academic Standards and Quality Unity visited
Daffodil International Academy (DIA), a renowned education provider of Bangladesh. The other
members of the delegate are Mr. Theo Koukouravas – Deputy Dean, Cardiff School of
Management and Head of Partnerships, Ms Ayette Bounouri – Standards and Quality Officer,
Mr. Andrew Miles – Senior Lecturer, Cardiff School of Sport, Ms. Claire Salmon – External
Panellist, Mr Bruce Sheppy  – External Pannelist.
 The delegates attended the series of meeting with the management committee, faculty members
and students separately in the day long program. The delegates also visited the environmental
and infrastructural facilities of DIA. Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of DIA & Daffodil Group,
Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Executive Director of DIA and other high officials of DIA were
present during their visit. The objective of this visit was to justify the provable feasibility of
conducting the quality (QA Visit) of Cardiff Metropolitan University Programs at DIA. The
delegation expressed their high satisfaction at the end of their visit.
