DIS Service Day-2017

The Social Welfare Club (SWC) of Daffodil International School organized a social service day entitled “DIS Service Day 2017” to develop community service by Daffodil International School students on 02 November 2017 at DIS Dhanmondi English medium branch premises from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. A total of 50 students attended the session from two different non-government organizations named “Giyaner Pathshala” & “Shouhardo”.
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Honourable Chairman of Daffodil Family, inaugurated the said session and also gave a valuable speech on community service and students’ role in this initiative. Dr. Mark Bartholomew, Adviser of DIU; Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Associate professor & Director of Students’ Affairs of DIU; Dr Md. Mahmudul Hassan, Advisor (DIS), Shahana Khan, Principal (DIS), Rahima K Mirza Rosemary, Senior Vice Principal (DIS) and all the teachers & staff were present.
DIS students welcomed the underprivileged children wholeheartedly and spent a wonderful, cheerful day with them. Students of DIS conducted some “Fun and Learn” classes like Fun & Pranks, Light & Lustre, Kits and Kat My e-Kids, Learn and Lead, Sing Together, Let’s Dance, Draw Your Dream, Kidspreneur, etc. to amuse and serve the underprivileged children in the best possible way for the whole day.
The underprivileged children expressed their wholehearted gratitude and happiness to have such an excellent day with DIS students.
Daffodil International School has planned to conduct a series of Service Days with the motto of serving the community and creating awareness among underprivileged children about education and healthy life.

স্টেপ আয়োজিত বিশ্বব্যাংক ও কানাডা সরকারের সহযোগিতায় ইন্সটিটিউট পর্যায়ে ড্যাফোডিল পলিটেকনিক ইন্সটিটিউটে স্কিলস কম্পিটিশন ২০১৭ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এ বছর মোট ৩১ টি ভিন্ন মাত্রার প্রোজেক্ট স্থান পায়। ভিন্ন আঙ্গিকে সিকিউরিটি, বিকল্প বিদ্যুৎ, কাপড়ের ভিন্ন ব্যবহার সহ যানজট নিরসন বিষয়ক প্রকল্প শিক্ষার্থীরা উপস্থাপন করে। পরবর্তীতে ১ম, ২য় ও ৩য় স্থান অধিকারি বিজয়ীদের মাঝে নগদ অর্থ সহ ক্রেস্ট ও সাটিফিকেট প্রদান করা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ড্যাফোডিল এডুকেশন নেটওয়ার্ক এর নির্বাহী পরিচালক জনাব মোহাম্মদ নুরুজ্জামান, বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ড্যাফোডিল পলিটেকনিক ও বিএসডিআই-এর এডভাইজার জনাব কে এম হাসান রিপন এবং অনুষ্ঠানের সভাপতিত্ব করেন উক্ত প্রতিষ্ঠানের অধ্যক্ষ ইঞ্জিনিয়ার মোঃ আজহারুল ইসলাম।
