The University of Greenwich was founded in 1890, previously existing as Woolwich Polytechnic and Thames Polytechnic before being granted university status and renamed in 1992.

The BSc (Hons) Computing (with specialisations available in Network Systems and Information Systems) Top-up Degree is delivered by NCC Education Accredited Partner Centres. It has been designed to prepare students for
employment in the IT sector.
This qualification provides students with the required theoretical knowledge and practical skills to apply to a real business environment.
The degree is awarded by the University of Greenwich. The first and second year of the degree journey is awarded and certificated by NCC Education. Graduates can pursue careers as a:

Academic Progression
Students that complete the NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) can:
- Apply to Year 1 of a university degree programme at over 100 universities, branch campuses, business schools and professional bodies in 20+ countries.For further details see the What Next? - Or enrol onto the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC), Level 4 Diploma in Computing (with Business Management) (L4DB BM) or Level 4 Diploma in Business (L4DB), equivalent to Year 1 of a UK bachelor’s degree.
Entry Requirements
Enrol with one of the following qualifications:
- NCC Education International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS)
- NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Computing (RQF) (L5DC)
- NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Computing with Business Management (RQF) (L5DC BM)
- Equivalent qualification agreed in advance by the University of Greenwich and NCC Education

Three core units and two elective units.

Assessments
Assessment is through examination and coursework assignments.
Award Conditions
The degree will be classified into one of the following honours categories:
- First
- Upper Second
- Lower Second
- Third
The BSc (Hons) Computing Top-up Degree will be awarded when students have successfully passed all units and is awarded by the University of Greenwich. The first and second year of the degree journey are awarded and certificated by NCC Education.
Academic Progression
On completion of the BSc (Hons) Computing Top-up Degree, graduates are eligible to apply for postgraduate and master’s degree study at institutions across the world.
Upon successful completion of the BSc (Hons) Computing Top-up Degree, graduates are eligible to apply for Postgraduate and Master’s degree study at institutions across the world.
NCC Education offer a Level 7 Diploma in Business Management, which is the first-year component of a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). NCC Education have progression routes for MBA qualifications at the following universities:
